Meet Our Team at Ryland Thoroughbreds
Stud Farm Director & Owner
Luke is from the Riverina area of country New South Wales. Luke comes from a family farming background with a love of racehorses. Having established Ryland Thoroughbreds with his partner Bec they have gone the next step. Luke also enjoys riding the horses and seeing them flourish at whatever they want to do.
Stud Farm Director & Owner
Bec is the other half of the partnership of Ryland Thoroughbreds. Bec has been crazy for horses since she was about 4 years old and was lucky enough to start riding at about 5 years of age at a local riding school in Geelong. Since then she has done Pony Club, clinics, shows, one day events, dressage events, shes a HRCAV rider and much more. She is always is looking to learn more everyday and loves spending her days working with horses or just being around them. Along with her experience with treating horses injuries she makes the team.
Get to know all about Ryland Thoroughbreds - what we do, our mission and our history. Ryland Thoroughbreds is a year-round Horse Farm that offers the smaller owner & breeder the chance of breeding a champion without the expense of others. We pride ourselves on the fact every horse we breed or race comes home. At Ryland Thoroughbreds we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We’d love for you to take part in the Ryland Thoroughbreds experience. For more information, get in touch!
Life after Racing
We believe that horses need to have a good let down of at least 3 months then after that it’s time to find out what they want to do for their next chapter
We start with basic ground work and work it up from there. We then have fun trying new things for them from dressage, jumping, bush rides, trail riding, ride along the roads, outings to the beach, local pony club or just to a friends place for something different. Every horse we take it at their pace and it’s customised to each ones needs but we try to make it enjoyable for them along the way
